Application process
For best results, the concrete surface must be cleaned of dust, grease, impurities, and weak material layers. Large cracks need to be repaired before application. Then, the entire surface should be ground flat and waterproofed with DEFIX PROSEAL TC-1 or a mortar layer using DEFIX LATEX B to stabilize the base and limit moisture.
Once the waterproofing layer is dry, stir DEFIX FLAS PE-1 thoroughly with a mixer at 500–600 rpm for about 2–3 minutes. If necessary, up to 10% clean water can be added to adjust the viscosity. Apply 2–3 layers with a trowel or squeegee, with a dry film thickness of about 1–3 mm per layer, depending on the court design.
After completion, the cushion layer must dry for a minimum of 48 hours before applying the DEFIX Plastic wear-resistant elastic paint. During this time, rain must be avoided, and absolutely no standing water should be allowed on the surface.
Important notes
To ensure the quality of the sports court, please note:
- Substrate moisture content below 4%.
- Air humidity not exceeding 85%.
- Application temperature from 8–35°C.
- Do not apply when it is raining.
- Tools should be cleaned with clean water immediately after use.
- Application should be carried out by a professional team in strict accordance with the manufacturer's technical procedures.
