The product has a density of approximately 1.02 kg/L and a shelf life of up to 24 months when stored correctly in its original, unopened packaging. This allows contractors and construction companies to easily manage material inventory while ensuring product quality.
Instructions for correct application of DEFIX LATEX S
For optimal results, the application surface must be completely clean of dust, grease, and other impurities. Absorbent surfaces should be saturated with water, but not left with standing water, before application.
Applying the bonding layer
For the bonding slurry layer between old and new concrete, the recommended mixing ratio is:

4 kg of cement
After mixing thoroughly to a suitable consistency, the mixture is applied with a thickness of approximately 1–2 mm. Concrete or new mortar must be applied immediately while the bonding layer is still wet to achieve maximum adhesion.
Applying the waterproofing mortar layer
For the waterproofing mortar layer:

Cement : Sand = 1 : 3

DEFIX LATEX S : Water = 1 : 3
The mixture should be thoroughly mixed before application. The waterproofing mortar layer should be applied immediately while the slurry layer is still wet to create a homogeneous bond between the material layers.
The estimated consumption is approximately 1 kg of DEFIX LATEX S per square meter for a 2 cm thick mortar layer.
Important notes during use
The effectiveness of waterproofing depends not only on the quality of the admixture but also significantly on the application process.
The applicator should always mix cement with the DEFIX LATEX S and water mixture to create a standard bonding layer. If applying multiple layers, the subsequent layer should be applied while the previous layer is still wet to enhance adhesion. Additionally, the post-application curing process must be fully followed to ensure the strength of the mortar layer.
After completion, all tools should be cleaned immediately with water before the material hardens.
